Some might say that Redwood runs in our veins here at Bruce Bauer. For generations we've made it a priority to stock only the best available grades.
Available Grades
Redwood is a remarkable deck material in almost every way. At Bruce Bauer, we only stock all heart Redwood which is naturally extremely rot and insect resistant. On top of that, it creates a stunning aesthetic that always seems to be in style. After all, we're still selling it 80 years later!
SELECT THE GRADE THAT FITS YOUR JOB + BUDGET
We only stock air-dried, all-heart Redwood at Bruce Bauer which means there's no sap wood that will be prone to rotting. That means you're getting the good stuff, nice choice! Now it's up to you to decide which grade fits your project. Below you'll find our available grades in 2x6 Redwood. All grades come in 8, 10, 12, 16 and 20 ft. lengths.
Select Heart
Our entry grade, this solid decking option still consists of all heart wood but can contain tight knots. That means that you won't find loose knot holes, but you can be sure that there will be plenty of knots on the boards.
Heart B
If you're not wild about the plentiful knots on our Select Heart, Heart B might be a better option. Kiln dried, this grade can still contain "limited knots" and other characteristics not permitted in Clear Heart.
Clear Heart
This premium, air-dried material cannot contain any knots nor can the boards contain any defects on one face, though the opposite face may have some slight imperfections. This is one of our most popular decking options.
Other Redwood suppliers simply don't compare.
