The Bruce Bauer Family Experience

Los Altos Home

"This new Los Altos home designed by Duxbury Architects and built by Komo Construction makes fantastic use of Marvin Windows and Doors.  It features a spectacular open view and passage through Marvin’s 16’ wide 8’ tall sliding french door opening the family room to the spacious and beautifully landscaped patio/backyard.  This doors ease of operation defies its size.  The door Hardware is from Marvin’s architectural series manufactured by Ashley Norton in the solid bronze finish.

Most of the Marvin windows in this residence are the “Ultimate” Double hung with Cottage style sash cuts (top sash shorter than the bottom sash) and 7/8” simulated divided light cuts (SDL w/spacer bar).

Marvin’s subtle off white “Sierra White” clad exterior is surrounded with AZEK trim stock.  A combination of AZEK’s 2 x 4 flat stock was used for the perimeter trim in conjunction with profile 6930 “historic sill” and the 6931 “ back band”.   The AZEK trim was heated and bent in the field to match the radius window profiles.

Our staff worked closely with the owners and Komo Construction through the entire window and door selection process to ensure that all elements of their visions were realized.  Spectacular design by the Duxbury team; Meticulous execution by Komo construction; Our thanks to the owners that made the process a real pleasure."
